He says he is more concerned about his team's togetherness than their quality, and believes teamwork played a key role in the Iranian side's triumph at the 2021 Asian Championship in Japan. "I pay more attention to discipline and teamwork than technical discussion. I believe that when a team is 70% in terms of quality but has 100% cohesion, it will perform better than a team with 90% quality and 50% cohesion. That is why the team's understanding is very important to me, and this must be drummed into each and every player. The secret of the team's success in the Asian championship was the same.
