Cambodia are participating in their third Asian Games men's volleyball tournament at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou, and their first since 1970.

They lost both of their preliminary group matches on debut in 1962 to finish bottom of their group. In the classification group stage that followed, they picked up victories against their Thai and Filipino opponents to end the tournament ranked seventh from nine teams. On their most recent appearance at the Asian Games in 1970, they won four matches during the round-robin tournament to finish just outside the podium places in fourth.

The Cambodian team competed at each edition of the South East Asian Games between 2011 and 2023. They won bronze at the 2021 Games before claiming silver as hosts in 2023, when they lost the final to Indonesia.
