He was an assistant coach of the Republic of Korea men's volleyball team between 2017 and 2019. He was head coach of Korean club side the Daejeon Samsung Bluefangs between 2015 and 2017. He had served as an assistant coach of the Bluefangs from 2006 until 2015.
