Team Overview

General
Thailand made their Asian Games debut in softball as hosts in 1998 in Bangkok, where they lost all six matches in the round-robin stage. The team also competed at Guangzhou 2010 and Incheon 2014 but failed to register a victory at either tournament.

The team have performed far better at the South East Asian Games, where they have won four medals since 2005. The Thais claimed bronze at the Games in 2005 and 2007, and were runners-up to the Philippines in both 2011 and 2015.

Their performances at the Asian championship, where they did not rank higher than seventh in five appearances between 2004 and 2023, are more in line with what they have achieved at the Asian Games. Their only win at the 2023 edition of the tournament was a 3-0 victory over India, and they ranked eighth out of nine teams.
