Team Overview

General
Pakistan have won gold in the two women's cricket competitions to take place at the Asian Games. They faced Bangladesh in the final on both occasions, winning by 10 wickets at the 2010 Games in Guangzhou and then by four runs at Incheon 2014 in a match that was affected by rain.

The Pakistani team competed at all eight editions of the Women's T20 World Cup between 2009 and 2023 but are yet to reach the semifinal stage. At the most recent edition of the tournament in 2023 in South Africa, they won one of their four group matches and did not advance to the knockout rounds.

Pakistan were runners-up at the Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup in 2012 and 2016, losing to India in the final on both occasions. At the most recent edition of the tournament in 2022 in Bangladesh, the Pakistani team finished second in the round-robin stage to reach the semifinals, where they lost by just one run to Sri Lanka.

At the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, where women's cricket made its Commonwealth Games debut, Pakistan lost all three of their group stage matches and failed to progress to the semifinals.
