Team Overview

General
Uzbekistan won a bronze medal at the inaugural Asian Games women's water polo tournament in 2010. Despite losses to the People's Republic of China and Kazakhstan, victory against India was enough to claim third place in the four-team round-robin tournament in Guangzhou.

The team narrowly missed out on replicating that result four years later in Incheon, securing wins against Singapore and Hong Kong, China but losing to all three medal-winning teams [the People's Republic of China, Japan, and Kazakhstan] to end the round-robin tournament in fourth position.

The Uzbekistani team placed third of four teams at the 2023 Asian Water Polo Championships in Singapore, with their two victories coming against Thailand and Singapore. They lost both the matches they played against tournament winners Kazakhstan.

The team participated in four editions of the world championships between 2005 and 2013, with a highest finish of 15th [2005 and 2009].
