Biographical Information

Highlights

:
He led the People's Republic of China men's national team to the title at the 2023 Asian Water Polo Championships in Singapore. He was head coach of the Montenegro men's national team that finished fourth at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. (SportsDeskOnline, 16 Jun 2023; total-waterpolo, 11 Aug 2021)

He coached the Serbia and Montenegro men's team to a gold medal at the 2005 World Championships, and led the Montenegro men's team to the title at the 2008 European Championship. (total-waterpolo, 15 Aug 2020)

In 2015 he became president of the World Water Polo Coaches Association [WWPCA].

He was head coach of the Germany men's national team from 2021 to 2022. He has been the Chinese women's national team head coach, including at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, and had a previous spell as head coach of the Chinese men's team between 2017 and 2020. He has also coached the Serbia and Montenegro, and Montenegro men's national teams, and has been involved in coaching club water polo since the 1980s.
