He was introduced to the sport by his father. "I always love guns. I started shooting when I was very young, in grade three. It was air rifle, which my father introduced me to at the shooting range. In the first year of my college, some of my friends and cousins told me about shotgun shooting in Patiala, India, and I started liking it." (Instagram profile, 23 Apr 2017)
