He has been head coach of various Japanese women's national age-group teams. He also coached handball at Kyoto Prefectural Rakuhoku High School in Japan for 23 years [1987-2010], and in 2010 he became head coach of the women's team at Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences in Japan.
