His older brother Mikhail and his younger brother Sergey have both represented Kazakhstan in canoe sprint. Mikhail competed in the C1 500m and C1 1000m events at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, while Sergey was Timofey's partner in the C2 1000m at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
