General
CONSIDERING QUITTING
In 2018 he considered quitting the sport after graduating from university because he did not believe he would make the national team, and he had received a job offer from an advertising agency. However, he saw an opening for a job as a boxing coach at the Kagoshima Amateur Sports Association club, which would enable him to continue training and competing, so he moved to Kanoya and was offered the job. "Somehow, I couldn't give up my passion for boxing. I heard from a friend that the Kagoshima association was looking for a boxing coach, so I moved to Kanoya straight away without telling my parents that I had refused the advertising job offer." (kts-tv, 20 Mar 2020; friday, 08 Apr 2020; blogs, 18 Nov 2020)

HERITAGE
He was born to a Ghanaian father and a Japanese mother in Yamagata, Japan. (Instagram profile, 28 Nov 2019; sports, 12 Mar 2020; yamagata-np, 13 Mar 2020)
