She began playing badminton at age seven in Tangerang, Indonesia. She started playing in women's doubles in 2013 before switching to mixed doubles in 2017. "In the beginning, it was not that serious. But I started focusing on the sport in 2012." (Usee Sports YouTube channel, 23 Feb 2023; jogja.tribunnews.com, 20 Oct 2017)

"At first, I was just following my sister playing badminton. I wanted to try it, and somehow I just kept going." (jogja.tribunnews.com, 20 Oct 2017)

Additional Information

General
MIXED DOUBLES PARTNER
In 2017 she teamed up with Rinov Rivaldy. Two weeks after their first training together, they won the mixed doubles title at the 2017 World Junior Championships in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. "Rinov has been nurturing. On the court, he will direct me. He's the one who drives our play. Our first victory as a pair at the 2017 World Junior Championships was the most fun, it was awkward too because we were a new pair." (PB Djarum YouTube channel, 14 Sep 2022; indosport.com, 21 Jul 2020, 26 Nov 2019; tribunnews.com, 02 Nov 2017)

CAREER CHOICE
Two months prior to winning the mixed doubles title at the 2017 World Junior Championships in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, her father gave her the option to go to college. "It was my first year in the national team, so perhaps my father offered me the chance to study because I kept complaining how exhausting it was being an athlete. So, at the time I told my father to see my progress in one year. It was two months prior to the 2017 World Junior Championships. So, I had never won any medals with the national team until the 2017 World Junior Championships. It was my debut in the mixed doubles, and Rinov Rinaldy was my first mixed doubles pair. It was all new and fresh for me. So, I kept on playing." (Usee Sports YouTube channel, 23 Feb 2023)
