DISTANCE SWITCH
In 2022 she announced that she would be switching her main focus from the 20km walk to the 35km walk, an event that made its first appearance at the world championships in 2022. "I can say that from now on, my main event will be 35km. I made this decision partly because of my age, and partly because the physical requirements will not be as demanding as for 20km. It is very encouraging to see that many of the women switched from 20km to 35km in the worlds this year [2022], and someone who finished lower than me in the [2020] Olympics had good results in the 35km."
