Team Overview

General
The People's Republic of China have won gold in the men's team event at 11 of the 12 editions of the Asian Games to feature artistic gymnastics. The only blemish on their record came at the 2014 Games in Incheon, where they finished in third place behind Japan and the Republic of Korea.

The Chinese team have also secured regular podium finishes at the Olympic Games, winning a total of eight medals in 10 appearances between Los Angeles 1984 and Tokyo 2020. They claimed silver on their debut in 1984, as well as in 1992 and 1996, and secured their first Olympic title in 2000 in Sydney. They won back-to-back golds in 2008 and 2012, and finished with bronze at both Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020.

The People's Republic of China have been crowned champions on 12 of the past 15 occasions the event has been held at the world championships, which includes a run of six consecutive titles between 2003 and 2014. They were also gold medallists at the 2022 edition of the tournament in Liverpool, England, finishing ahead of Japan in the silver medal position.
