Team Overview

General
India are making their debut in the Asian Games men's 3x3 basketball tournament at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou.

The senior Indian team participated in five of the six editions of the Asia Cup to take place between 2013 and 2023, and made their only appearance in the knockout stages of the tournament at the inaugural edition in 2013, when they reached the quarterfinals. At the 2023 Asia Cup in Singapore, they lost both of their matches in Pool C to Kazakhstan and the People's Republic of China by the same scoreline [21-13]. They exited the 2022 tournament in similar fashion after group stage defeats to the Republic of Korea and Mongolia.

India claimed gold at the 2019 South Asian Games after winning all three of their matches in a four-team competition that also featured Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and hosts Nepal.
